“Resource saving”, “Ecology” and “SDGs”. Even if these words have been changed with the times, what Suzuki Industry Co., Ltd., has been doing will still remain the same.
Since our founding in 1949, we have been working on effective utilization and stable supply of resources through rare metal recycling, based on our philosophy of “urban mining”, in resource poor Japan.
Although these words have been changing in line with the transition of world politics and economy, we take pride in contributing to the protection of the global environment.

Our thoughts are condensed in the phrase “Pride of Scrap”.
We will once again work closely in resolving global environmental issues with the international goal of the SDGs (sustainable development goals).

In 2021, starting from kick-off meeting in which all our employees participated, after going through 4 workshops, all our employees have been thinking on how to solve the SDGs issues. Over the course of 6 months, we have finally put together 4 priorities as our corporate messages.

Through our recycling and promotion of utilization of scrap metals including rare metals, we will contribute to the conservation of the global environment and create value for our customers and stakeholders.
In addition, by building the strong corporate governance structure, we will provide a work environment where employees can work with enthusiasm, and promote stable procurement and stable supply of our high-quality raw materials by strengthening partnerships.
We will continue to be an organization company that contributes to solving various issues and realizing a sustainable society while grasping changes in the needs of our customers and the world.
Priority Issue 1 Industrial technology and industrial development
Based on our philosophy of “Pride of Scrap”, we take advantage of our half-a-century experience in rare metal recycling technologies and our own advanced analytical laboratory to produce reliable and safe scrap raw materials to customers with “Zero complaints” and “Zero returns”.
In order to meet the ever-expanding needs of our customers, we will introduce and utilize I.T. tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
In addition, we will contribute to the development of recycling technologies and promote the use of scrap metals to the entire industry while strengthening collaboration with business partners.

We will strive to procure sustainable raw materials for our business partners by appropriately sorting, processing, and sorting scrap containing rare metals, and promoting the use of recycled raw materials.
This will reduce the environmental impact associated with mining of new raw materials, and protect the world’s rich ecosystems and water quality.
Furthermore, we aim to realize carbon neutrality by promoting the reduction of industrial waste and the improvement ofof operational efficiency by reviewing our transportation system.
As a member of the local community, we will be an organizationcompany that is close to the community and contributes to the development of comfortable city to live in.
・ Promote the utilization of recycled raw materials, by visualizing the “environmental load” in our service life cycle.
・ Strengthening measures to reduce noise and water pollution during sorting and processing, and promotion of reuse of resources (packing materials, etc.)
・ Reduce carbon dioxide emissions by reviewing our transportation system at the time of procurement and delivery.
・ Conversion to renewable energy such as solar power generation system.
Priority issue 3 Providing opportunities for utilizing diverse human resources.
We will promote the diversification of work styles, and the optimization of operational efficiency of work, and promote the creation of a comfortable workplace where employees with various backgrounds such as gender, age, and nationality can demonstrate their abilities while respecting each other.
In addition, we support the development of young employeespeople by providing many educational opportunities such as in-house training, and provide an environment where they can continue to grow.
